For all the complaints about republicans standing in the way of Obama keep this bill as a sign of what bipartisanship would have gotten us.

A big stink burger that nobody likes.   That is what you get when both parties work together and both parties are led by who they're led by.

Only good news is this all stops next month and we can get back to some gridlock if Obama doesn't chicken out.

pretty much lifts the federal ban on medical marijuana by ending all federal raids of retail medical marijuana stores in states that have legalized it.

    I'll give you weed
If you give me what I need
    How about derivatives?
I'll get rich and you'll get stoned
    And we'll all be happy

Weed in exchange for guaranteed federal bail out of risky trading is definitely not a good swap IMO.

those with favored nation status, aka the finance industry, we're gonna get theirs whether we got weed or not.  In fact, they're gonna get theirs selling weed too before too long.

    So...I'll take the weed;)

Was that an agreed swap? (none / 0) (#7)

I haven't read much on the bill.

How I see the medical weed issue though, once you have had a family member unable to eat due to chemo....that changes everything.  I suppose it would be the same if I had a child with uncontrollable seizures that canaboids could control.

The Conservatives are losing the weed issue in the real world.  No need to make the swap deal.
