2022 Grammy Awards -- Why Las Vegas?

I'm more interested in the Grammys telecast tonight than I was in the Oscars. People already has 125 red carpet photos up. Variety has this list of (in their view) the best dressed of them.

I really don't get why they are being held in Las Vegas -- seems like an odd pairing. But I'm looking forward to watching BTS, who are all recovered from their bouts with COVID-19, which several of them were diagnosed with after their arrival last week in Las Vegas. Here they are on the Red Carpet: [More...]

The show begins here (Mountain Time) now, but it has been on for an hour in other time zones. If you want to comment, don't worry about spoilers, they are unavoidable

It's depressing how many of those people I never heard of.

What did you think of Justin Bieber's outfit (none / 0) (#2)

IMO, it was so oversized he looked like he was wearing a suit made for the amazing Hulk.

Not a fan of the look, myself.

He reminded me of David Byrne. (5.00 / 1) (#3)

He used to dress that way in the 1980s when I was in college and Talking Heads was one of my favorite groups - with the difference being, of course, that Justin Bieber is no David Byrne.

Personally, I have never cared at all for tight-fitting clothes, even in my younger baseball-playing years when I was quite buffed out and could probably get away with the look. I've always preferred my own apparel to be sufficiently loose to allow a clear and comfortable freedom of movement.

That said, I really didn't like David Byrne's oversized outfits in the 1980s, even though I love the film "Stop Making Sense." I thought the ill-fitting baggy suit and squared shoulder pads made him look rather silly.

But then, I came of age in the fashion-challenged 1970s so I probably should refrain from further judgment because seriously, what were people thinking back then?

    ;-D

He is not starting a trend in men's fashion. Not sure why anyone would think that was a good look.
